The Doctor of the Future will No Longer Treat the Human Frame with Drugs, but Rather will Cure and Prevent Disease with Nutrition

What is the difference between a Nutritionist and a Registered Dietitian?

The title “Nutritionist” is not legally regulated and can mean different things in different states. Many states do not even require Nutritionists to have any type of formal training or work experience. In comparison, the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is regulated and protected by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR.) In order to hold this credential an individual must meet a number of standardized requirements. An RDN must hold a bachelor’s or higher degree from an accredited College or University, complete a comprehensive dietetic internship that includes hands-on clinical and community experience, and pass a national board exam. RDNs must also earn continuing education credits throughout their career in order to keep their credential.

Do you take health insurance?

BellyBlissful does not currently accept health insurance. However, you can inquire about out of network benefits with your provider. If you are entitled to out of network benefits for medical nutrition therapy we can provide you with a superbill for reimbursement purposes.

How far will BellyBliss RDN’s travel for face to face consultations?

BellyBlissful is based in Brooklyn, New York. Dietitians will travel within a 15 mile radius to visit clients. This includes areas of Brooklyn, Long Island, Queens, Manhattan, and Westchester county. If you are located outside of this radius we are glad to conduct consultations and check-ins via phone or video chat.
